MOON RIVER ESTATES — Boxes
Similarly to the wine labels project, the task for this stage was to take the brand that we previously created 2D labels for, and create 3D packaging for them. This could be anything to do with the business, whether that was a package of cheese to go with the wine, or maybe a box of chocolates. I personally chose a box of champagne flutes!
Since I already had a brand with its own look and feel, along with the labels for the bottles, it was much easier moving forward with this project. Knowing I was creating a box for something with direct correlation to the labels meant that I could take design elements from the one and place it on the other. Without the ability to use custom images, I needed to be able to utilize those as the main elements.
Of course, part of the process was to research what was typically found on boxes of wine and champagne glasses. I went to a few stores and took photos, and eventually developed a little list of what I discovered. Next, I started ideating and sketching potential designs and nets for the box to make sure they would fit together properly. The creation process started, and when I was happy with the direction and design, I printed it to visualize what the box would look like put together.
Overall, though there are always some things I wish I could have changed after the fact, I am happy and love the colours, the icons and the layout.
I hope you enjoy this creation too!
